Bohyun Yoon
Korean artist Bohyun Yoon is interested in how the ideas of agency and power regulate private and individual freedoms. During his experiences in the Korean military, Yoon was forced to live in an environment of intense control that seemed to parallel social mechanisms of discipline and punishment. This experience served as a catalyst for much of his artistic inquiry into how reality becomes animated by certain control systems such as politics, mass media, and advertisement. Furthermore, he strives to reveal human beings' delicacy and fragility in these forbidding environments.
